The LACOMBE family bought the vineyard of Château TOUR SAINT VINCENT in 1995. This estate is located in the commune of Saint Christoly de Médoc, less than one kilometre from the Gironde estuary.
The wines from this château are worthy of a tower being built for Saint Vincent, (which is what we did, in fact).
Why Saint Vincent and why a Tower?
Some people claim that the patron saint of wine growers was given the name because “VIN = SANG (blood) of Christ. In any case, the grapes from this vineyard are always rich in colour. Why “Tower”? Without doubt in due homage and gratitude.
The grapes bursting with sunshine and the beneficial regulatory effects of the estuary are sorted under the Tower at the entrance to the vat room. Our people and our clean, modern facilities anxiously await them each year to listen to, receive and observe their message before transforming them into a great MEDOC.
